Community Involvment

March 2008 - April 2008 -  Andrew Cambria, financial services representative and investment advisor representative with the North Shore Financial Group, an office of MetLife, has been named Vice President of Community Development for the Long Island Junior Chamber of Commerce (LIJC). In this new role, Cambria will be acting as liaison between the LIJC and charitable/community organizations. Cambria’s work to date with the Long Island Junior Chamber has earned him their prestigious "Unsung Hero" award.

May 2008 -  North Shore Financial Group has formed a team for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in June of 2008.   The NSFG team is captained by Financial Services Representative Jennifer Cassidy.  Contact Jennifer at 631-851-5728 for more information.

North Shore Financial Group has also formed a team for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island's Volley Ball Tournament.  The NSFG team is captained by Financial Services Representative Anthony Vlachos.  Anthony also sits on the board for Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. For more information on this event, contact Anthony at 631-851-5854. 

June 2008 -  George Orefici, CFP^®, of the North Shore Financial Group will be speaking on Long Term Care Insurance, as part of the New York State Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education program on June 4, 2008.

July 2008 - North Shore Financial Group's Habitat for Humanity Day took place on  July 19, 2008. 

October 2008 - Andrew Cambria, financial services representative and investment advisor representative with the North Shore Financial Group, was appointed to the Board of Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank.    Andrew was also named Kiwanian of the Year by the Seaford Kiwanis.
